Hullo there everyone! I was over at my folks' place this weekend when my mom mentioned that she found a plastic baggie of some old magnets of mine.
I was pretty delighted to be reunited with my old Strawberry Shortcake buddies. I must have had these since I was a little girl. I can't believe I ever put them away!
I am still charmed by how these girls are named Lemon Chiffon and Angel Cake.
The purple kitty named Souffle is so cute. I loved that cat and remember having a scented figurine of her... Boy would I love to find that piece! I bet it is somewhere at my parents' house too!
I hope you found some goodies this weekend too. I'm linking up to ATG's Thrift Share!
Aww, I had these as a kid! And I would NEVER have remembered had I not seen your post. Very cool!

Your magnets are darling! I hope you hang on to them. I collect vintage SSC items, and I haven't seen these before. I just have to let you know...Souffle, Angel Cake's buddy is actually a SKUNK, not a kitty. lol I think people make that mistake sometimes. A very cute Skunk isn't she? :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, Erica
Hi Six, I'm your newest follower, followed you over from Thrift Bee, but have read you plenty in the past. (if you have time, please see my 'to bloggers everywhere' post). Do you know, i never came across SS until i had my daughter. I'm so glad your little teak bird has a friend, they look adorable together. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that was a skunk! Super cute skunk indeed!
ReplyDeletehaha, I'm glad so many of you have memories of Strawberry Shortcake. I really wonder what else is lurking around the closets at my parents' house.
